Victor Blaine Breedlove, 73, died peacefully at home in Ponce Inlet, FL on December 24, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer from the effects of Agent Orange. He loved life and brought joy and laughter to all he knew. He was born in Franklin, IN, the son of Norma and Thurl Breedlove. Vic graduated from Franklin Central High School in 1968. Following graduation, he served in Vietnam from 1968 - 1971, earning two bronze stars. He and his wife, Nancy were married 46 years and lived in Indianapolis, IN, Roscoe, IL, and Ponce Inlet, FL. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Stephen, and brother-in-law Mark Brinkers. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sister Martha Stinson, son Nicolas Breedlove, grandchildren, mother-in-law Esther Brinkers, many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, and friends.
Vic was most recently a co-owner of NVB Playgrounds and spent several years in the men's apparel industry.
His ashes will be scattered at sea in February off the coast of Ponce Inlet and interred at the National Cemetery at Crown Hill in the spring. Those who wish to remember Vic in a special way may make donations in his memory to Miracle Place, 940 Temple Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46201 or Halifax Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
