Investigative Reporter
Kristine Phillips is an investigative reporter for IndyStar. She returned to IndyStar after several years working for national outlets -- most recently at USA TODAY, where she was part of a team that reported on the Justice Department, the sprawling Russia investigation, and other criminal justice and legal issues. She also covered national breaking news for The Washington Post. Kristine spent the first years of her career at IndyStar, where she wrote about public safety issues and the court system. Her work focusing on wrongful conviction has led to legislative reforms in the state. She now lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two kids.
