A winter storm is impacting weather across the U.S. as cold temperatures are expected to bring negative 30 degrees wind chills

The winter storm, named Heather, leaves no part of the country untouched as she moves swiftly from the South to North leaving a trail of snow, ice and frigid wind chills.

The storm has caused many states to take precautionary action by implementing school closures, grounding airplanes, delaying flights and issuing travel warnings

The snow drought is officially over in the northeast as the area is now experiencing its first significant snowfall in two years.
