Get dressed. You're invited to winery's "Golden Bachelor" wedding party

The Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner is getting married tonight. And ABC’s live broadcast of the ceremony will be the ceremony, taking place in California, will be center of a downtown Anderson winery.

Cultured Urban Winery will be transformed into a wedding chapel for the night to host a live viewing party to see Turner, an Indiana resident, and Theresa Nist tie the knot on "The Golden Wedding."

The event, requested by regular customers who are fans of "The Golden Bachelor," kicks off at 7 p.m. with bridal shower games, hors d’oeuvres, cupcakes, cake pops and other treats.

The featured cocktail is the Blushing Bride, a pink sparkling wine drink.

No RSVP is required, but guests are encouraged to don festive hats, bouquets and other wedding-themed accessories to celebrate the nuptials.

“If there was ever a good excuse to put that old bridesmaid dress or bowtie to second use, well this is it,” said Treva Bostic, the Anderson Community Schools psychologist who opened Cultured in May 2022. It’s the first Black-owned farmhouse winery in the state, making, bottling and selling wine at the same facility.

“The Golden Wedding” will air live at Cultured Urban Winery, 1013 Meridian St. in Anderson, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4.
