AFC playoff first look: Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills odds and lines
The Kansas City Chiefs (12-6) are in unchartered territory during the Patrick Mahomes-era as they hit the road to take on the Buffalo Bills (12-6) Sunday in Orchard Park. Kickoff from Highmark Stadium is at 6:30 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Chiefs vs. Bills odds from FanDuel Sportsbook before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.
Mahomes has never been on the road during the playoffs, outside of playing in 3 Super Bowls. In the AFC Wild Card matchup vs Miami, the 2-time NFL MVP connected with WR Rashee Rice for a TD in the 1st quarter and the Chiefs never trailed, winning 26-7 at home in subzero temperatures. K.C. covered as a 4.5-point favorite with the Under (43.5) hitting.
Buffalo cashed as a 10-point home favorite Monday against the Pittsburgh Steelers as QB Josh Allen threw 3 TD passes and ran in a touchdown as well in a 31-17 victory -- an easy Over (39.5) cash. The Bills have won 6 games in a row, which is the 5th-longest winning streak in franchise history.

Chiefs vs. Bills head-to-head
Mahomes has defeated Buffalo twice in the postseason in his career with 6 TD passes and 0 INT. The first meeting was in January 2021 in the AFC Championship as the Chiefs advanced to the Super Bowl with a 38-24 victory after trailing 9-0.
A year later we witnessed an epic matchup that would eventually earn a 2022 Emmy for Best Game. Twenty-five points were scored in the final 1:54 of regulation with Kansas City capturing a 42-36 OT victory as Mahomes connected with TE Travis Kelce for the game-winning TD. The overtime rules changed a season later as Buffalo's offense never saw the field in extra time.
The Bills were victorious in Week 14 of this regular season at Arrowhead Stadium as they edged the Chiefs in controversial fashion 20-17. Kansas City would be hosting this rematch if not for WR Kadarius Toney lining up offside on a Kelce lateral play in crunch time. The Bills won outright as 1-point underdogs and the Under (49) came in.
The last time the Bills hosted the Chiefs in the playoffs was back in January 1994 when Buffalo won convincingly 30-13 in the AFC Championship as a 3-point favorite.
