SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- Pacers wing Bennedict Mathurin sprained his left ankle in the third quarter of Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. He will not return to the game.

Mathurin started the game along with Buddy Hield in place of guard Bruce Brown and forward Aaron Nesmith, who missed the game with a bruised right knee and bilateral shin soreness, respectively. Mathurin scored 11 points on 5 of 10 shooting before leaving the game. Entering Monday's game, Mathurin, a first-team All-Rookie pick last season was averaging 14.6 points per game off the bench.
