P&G deodorant maker, Native, launches Girl Scout Cookie-scented products
If you break out in a sweat at the mere mention of the upcoming Girl Scout Cookie season, Procter & Gamble has a cure for that.
Native, a San Francisco-based subsidiary of the Cincinnati-based consumer goods giant, on Thursday launched a new line of deodorants and body sprays in Girl Scout Cookie-inspired scents that both cover up body odor and make you smell delicious.
In addition to deodorants and sprays, the line includes body washes, shampoos and conditioners in the most popular Girl Scout Cookie flavors, including Thin Mints, caramel coconut, peanut butter and lemon.
Prices range from $8.99 to $13.99, and the products can be found exclusively at Target and NativeCos.com.
Native was founded in 2015 as a maker of aluminum- and plastic-free deodorants specializing in natural and food-scented fragrances. P&G acquired the company in 2017 for an undisclosed amount.
"At Native, we pride ourselves on delighting our consumers with something unexpected yet 'craveable,'" Vineet Kumar, CEO of Native, said in a press release. "We are so excited to partner with Girl Scouts to transform its iconic cookie flavors into scents for our clean, simple and effective collection of products.”
Native's latest release comes just in time for the Girl Scouts of the USA's fundraising cookie season, which generally takes place between January and April.
“Seeing our cookies inspire an entire line of personal care products is really exciting,” Wendy Lou, the Girl Scouts' chief revenue officer, said in the press release. "These products are a fun twist on ways folks can enjoy the scents of our beloved cookie flavors.”
Girl Scout Cookie scents and flavors can be found in a variety of products, including candles, breakfast cereals, and even beer.
